Setting

The story took place in the Oriental Plaza in Johannesburg ,It was in the 1990.

Plot

the story started off when Mrs Nebo and her friend Margeret went on a shopping expendition to the shopping mall accompanied by Cheuffer and two escorts.they lots of different items e.g shoes,jewellery and swimming costumes.

On their expedition Mrs Nebo saw an Indian shop and they went in ,she finds a nice scarf and decided to buy it but she wasnt have enough money,so she decided to pay by cheque but the Indian man refused as he doesnt sell his product by accepting cheque.Mrs Nebo felt offended because she always wanted to impose her principle on other people,but Mr Sakur the shopkeeper does not surender he not give privallegde to someone to him all the people are the same.

The Indian shopkeeper  were have no idea who the woman was,she is the wife of the appointend foreign affairs minster,this frightened them and try to convince Mr Sakur to accept the cheque from the woman,so they find a way to give it to her as present.

2.Summary

The story of Jerry a young English boy and his mother are vocational at the beach,they have come to many times in past years,each try to please the other and not to impose too many demands.

The mother who is a widowed is neither possessive nor lacking in devotion.One of the beautiful day Jerry and his  mother went to the beach although it was crowded,he leave the crowded safe beach were he has always played ,Jerry saw some boys strip off their clothes and went running down  the rocks he swam towards them, while keeping a distance one of the boy swam in and does not come on the surface for some minutes.
